How to organise documents for your accounting follow-up

08/11/2026 · Rif Consult Center

Group records by period

Create a folder for each month or the period agreed with your firm. Sort sales invoices, purchases, statements and available supporting records. A clear filename with a date and subject helps you find a document later.

Make documents readable

When sending digital records, check that each document is complete and legible. Scan or photograph all relevant pages. Keep your originals and ask the firm which formats to use when sending copies.

Highlight missing information

Tell the firm about missing records, unusual transactions or corrections. A short explanation helps identify the additional information needed and understand the circumstances.

Share business changes

A new employee, a new activity, a change of address or financing may affect the work involved. Communicate these changes so that the firm can clarify the records and steps to prepare.

Agree on a submission routine

The timing depends on your activity and the assignment. Rif Consult Center organises accounting, tax and payroll follow-up with you, including remote communication. Contact us to discuss your current arrangements.
